    Day 1 Timings: 10:00 – 15:00
     
    • Briefing on the role by British Airways trainers
      Gain an insight into the day of the life for cabin crew training
    • Practical skills and safety demos, using a 777 flight simulator and mock aircraft
      Learn how to demonstrate a safety demo using appropriate equipment and a PA. Plus practice emergency evacuation drills and different scenarios.
    • Last flight as passenger
      Experience how a passenger may react in an emergency situation.
    • Unplanned & Planned Emergencies
      What to do in an unplanned emergency i.e. a catastrophic situation that happens without any warning and a planned emergency i.e. when you are made aware of a situation that you have time to plan your SEP (Safety Emergency Procedures).
    • Pilot incapacitation
      What to do when you find a pilot in the flight deck incapacitated and cannot fly the plane.
    • Fire Ground & Smoke Chamber
      Don a smoke hood and walk through a smoke field chamber, with poor visibility and search for certain packages, dummies planted on the mock up. Use a fire extinguisher, gloves, in a mock up fire situation.
    • Slide Descent
      Jump, unaided in a rapid evacuation, via an aircraft door, down a steep slide.
    • Q&A Session
      An opportunity to discuss with the trainers any questions you may have.
    • Clear instructions and feedback from certified British Airways Cabin Crew instructors
      An insight into the day of the life for cabin crew training

    Day 1 does involve a degree of physical mobility and may not be suitable for some. Ladies who are pregnant will not be able to participate in slide descents or fire smoke chamber exercise. Anyone with medical issues such as a heart condition, asthma or claustrophobia or has any back or other joint or mobility problems may find some of the activities unsuitable and may wish to sit them out. No one is under any obligation to take part in any of the activities but students will gain more from the day by participating as fully as possible.

    Day 2 Timings: 09:00 – 18:00

    • New interview techniques and how to pass
    • Practicing the other Assessment Tests- role-plays, group exercises, ability (numerical, reasoning, spatial) and personality testing, presentations
    • Airline knowledge- what you will need to know to be selected
    • Insights into the role- behind the scenes information and exploring the cabin crew lifestyle
    • Passenger experience- Customer Service standards and expectations, brand importance, loyalty, on board service routines, First Aid.
    • Difficult on-board scenarios- practical session
    • Recruitment updates- who is recruiting now and how to apply
    • Quizzes, Q&A and informal discussions
